Laine is a Denver-based contemporary fine artist whose oil and charcoal compositions explore archetypes of beauty, interiority, and female consciousness. 

She pivoted to art after first establishing a successful career as a private-practice therapist.  Laine underwent fine arts training in Atelier, numerous workshops, and mentorship with prominent Denver artists. Laine’s intersectional expertise expresses itself through paintings with deep feeling, symbolism, and narrative sophistication.

Artist Statement

 I cannot separate my art from the philosophical questions I have about life: How do we cope? How do we help? How do we discover who we are meant to be?  For me, creating and helping others unlock their creative potential has become a way of answering those questions. My work as a painter comes from a need to express the intangible aspects of my interior life and to retreat into the healing world of beauty, color, and form.
